The construction started in fall 2008 when economics showed some changes already, but the active phase of the recession did not prevent the project from being implemented. The Mall was built in a very short period of time – within 9 months.

The main leaseholders are discount hiper markets – AUCHAN (22,500 sq.m), LEROY MERLIN (16,000 sq.m), M.VIDEO (3,400 sq.m), and DEKATHLON (6,000 sq.m). GOROD accommodates famous Russian and foreign retail brands. Leisure facilities include 8-hall KRONVERK CINEMA, an ice rink for 1,000 visitors, popular cafés and restaurants.

The Mall has a two-level underground parking lot for 2,700 parking spaces.

GOROD is adapted for all groups of disabled people. Together with the All-Russian Association of the Blind, a special range of measures has been developed for the sight-disabled.
